Housewife Hazards

Does this ever happen to you?

Do you ever walk into the laundry room to do a load and realize you already have a load in the washer from 2 or more days ago? You open the door hoping it doesn't smell too mildewy! Hoping it is just a little bit stinky and the dryer sheet will cure the smell? Well my load was way past the help of a dryer sheet and I had to re-wash it! I was so annoyed with myself, two days locked in a warm washer just could not be ignored!

This happens to me more than I would like to admit. It is generally okay during cold weather. Summer is coming though, I need to step up my game!

That's pretty gross/funny. I don't do that with the washer but I have been known to leave clothes in the dryer for a few days. The only problem with that is that I hate to iron so I am stuck with a bunch of wrinkled clothes!

Thanks so much for our talk yesterday. I am only just getting to know you but already I am so grateful for you and the support that I feel from you. Thanks for you prayers, you are one awesome woman! Tell my new friend Zeke that I say hi. :)

I am going to have to second Rosetta in the fact that right know in the cold weather not bad. I do it all the time. But beware of the Redding summers! You don't want to leave it in there for more then an couple hours or certain death from asphixiacion. You might as well throw them away.

OMG! I do this...maybe more often than I'd like to admit. Then I get ticked when the dryer sheet thing doesn't work and I have to start the process all over again. Uggghhhh!!

too funny...i love that you just admitted to a thing that we all do, but don't ever talk about. the best is when josh says why does this towel smell like mildew and my comment is "i don't know, that's weird, get another one" :) oh our little mom secrets!

I do that alot! But, hanging them outside gets the smell out. Did you know I got one of those cool retractable lines for Christmas? I tried to get the Pastor's Wives to buy you one for your "going-away", but they didn't see the beauty...sorry dude.

I'm not a housewife but I don't leave clothes in the washer overnight. I hate that smell. It's almost as bad as cat pee.

Hey Alyssa-this is your cousin mandy I ran across your blog! I'll explain that somewhat long and drawn out story another time, just wanted to say hi, it's been fun "meeting" your family, they're beautiful! Congrats on new baby, and rerun your load with a cup of white vinegar, this helps kill the smell!!!
