What a diffrence a year makes!

What a year! I was looking back at the kids from a year ago and it is amazing how much they have changed!!

I have been missing taking pictures. Whenever I am out I always see things I would love to take pictures of, but I never remember to grab my camera, I am lucky to remember all my kids with shoes and coats on!
Anyway I know one day I will have more freedom to take pictures.
I guess for now my pictures will be of the kids.
I think they are pretty fun to snap anyway!
cute too, right!

baby food

I cant believe it is time to start feeding Moses food already!!! He turned 5 months last week and today was the first chance i had to whip up some food for him!
We made carrots, only because it is what i had in the house. I made all of Sofia's food so I hope i am that diligent with Mo!
Dan's parents came to visit and when we went to costco they got us the magic bullet so I am hoping it will be easy for me to make the food!
The kids are getting over colds and I just had to include this pic of Sofia after playing outside...yummy

lost a friend

http://prayforthelamberths.files.wordpress.com/2008/12/3117438812_07aaf73092_o2.jpg

lost a friend last night.
It is so weird to lose someone that I went to school with, had a friendship with, someone that has a wife and young son.
I am so grateful to Casey for keeping us connected.
Casey set up a blog so people could pray and I was so thankful to be able to daily see the process that his wife Angie was going through, and how we could pray.
Angie I know you don't read blogs, but we love you and we are praying.
It makes me so thankful for my family, and it makes me cherish even the little moments with my husband and kids.
Mark will be so missed and I am grateful that I got to be his friend.

goin' veggie

So I used my gift card from my bro and sis - in law to Barnes and noble and got myself a vegetarian cookbook! ( Thanks mike and beck)
Most of the meals I make at home are veggie but it is just me leaving meat out of recipes and it is not always very filling. So I decided to buy one and see what I could do!
I made a couscous shepherds pie!
Dan and I thought it was good! I was so excited that my first try was a success!!
The kids didn't try it but that was because they were "starving" when I was putting it in the oven and so they could not wait the 25 minutes until it was done. I am sure it would have been a fight, as most meals are so we went with grilled cheese and fruit for them! (still a vegetarian meal!)
We probably won't go completely vegetarian as we still like chicken and steak when we go out to a restaurant, which is all the time (that is a joke)
Anyway just wanted to share my success, since I don't always have it in the kitchen!

Game night

Got back yesterday from our holiday in Riverside. I am not sure I would call it a true holiday, in my opinion a holiday consists of sleeping in, reading a great book or 4, and eating great food. I only ate too much food!
Moses thought it might be cool to get sick and wake up at least 3 times every night. So we came back tired. But time with family and friends was great and I am thankful for our parents help with the kids!!
We had our annual New years eve party where we played cranium guys vs. girls. I am happy to say that this year, finally the girls beat the guys. And not just beat them, but destroyed them, thanks to some rules and judges we set up for club cranium. No cheating this year boys!!
Anyway it was fun to be back with friends, it wouldn't be a new years eve without the yelling and chaos of the game, Dan making smart a** comments, kids running around and Sam taking his shirt off in excitement!
We did it girls, now we can make a lame t-shirt like Rodrigo and start a tally of wins!!!
jk mike i love the t-shirt, i'm just jealous!!
